Announcements

Voice of the Blue Ridge partners with

Virginia Tech

Last week, we were privileged to take part in some very preliminary testing of a device called STAAR (Situated Touch Audio Annotator and Reader). This device will enable people with visual impairments or blindness to read and take notes using modern slate-type devices like Apple's iPad. Check out the photos of some of our students putting STAAR through its paces. Many thanks to the fabulous team from Virginia Tech for allowing us to be a part of this exciting project!
