VOBR Adaptive Technology Center

Our Technology Center is equipped with 5 computer workstations and a Juliet Pro 60 Braille Embosser using Duxbury translation software.  The computer workstations are also equipped with the Jaws for Windows Screen Reader voice synthesizing program and have scanning capabilities with Open Book Software that enable printed material to be vocalized so it is accessible to the visually/print impaired. The computers are connected to the internet for information access using these adaptive technologies.

The center is open to anyone with a vision and/or print impaired to use during office hours. We are currently scheduling training in these adaptive technologies.  If this is of interest to you please contact us.
